He has been the Chairman of DEMİR-TAŞ İnşaat Yapı Malzemeleri Nakl. Ltd. Şti. since 2001 and has been the Chairman of ÜÇMİM Gıda Ltd. Şti. since 2019.

Mr. Demirtaş,  who has taken charge in many platforms both in business world and social life, has carried out the duties mentioned below;

Board member and vice Chairman in İnegölspor Club in 2009, 2010 and 2011,

Chairman in Bosna Hersek Association in 2009-2009 and in 2013-2015,

Vice Chairman and Chief Executive of R&D, Media and Promotion and Local Administration in İnegöl Organization of AK Party between 2006-2016 for three periods,

He has been serving as the Assembly President of İnegöl Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 2018.

Mahmut Demirtaş is married and has two children.
